Concept
The Gothenburg 400 Friendship Path will use unique mosaic patterns to celebrate Sweden’s rich history and how its identity has been shaped and continues to redefine itself. It will reflect on how the citizens built and developed Gothenburg together.
In many cultures, laying a red carpet means honouring the guest. Our “carpet” is a medley of visual traditions of the various groups living in Goteborg, illustrated in a 35 m-long terrazzo public path, to celebrate Göteborg’s 400th Anniversary in 2023.
