Namkha is a renovation project located in Patan, one of the oldest settlements in Kathmandu. This project aims to convert an abandoned storage house into a collective initiative aiming at developing and sharing a simple and sustainable way of life. As a result, the space developed as a multifunctional space where people can meditate, get healthy food or just sit in a corner with a cup of coffee and a good book.
The renovation aims to capture the warmth of the traditional mud houses and the vibrant spirit of the town in which they are located. This overarching concept has served as the guiding principle for both the structural interventions and the selection of interior materials that have been envisioned for this space.
